OUR GENERAL OBJECTIVE IS TO INTENSIFY NIGERIA – SOUTH AFRICA BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS

The Nigeria – South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) was established in May 2000 to serve as a forum for the encouragement of the Nigeria/South Africa bilateral trade and industry.

NSACC is mainly financed by the contributions of its members. Revenue also comes from surpluses from chamber functions and trade mission organisation. Though acting like a normal bilateral chamber of commerce, NSACC retains its status as a private organization limited by guarantee.

NSACC’s membership sectoral activities cover almost the whole spectrum of business activities in Nigeria including banking/finance services, manufacturing, insurance advertising, accounting /auditing, management, consulting,  airline services, broadcasting, engineering, law, freight, hospitality,  health/pharmaceuticals, stock brokering and information technology.

The activities of the chamber includes:

  • Promoting trade relations between Nigeria and South Africa through a regular exchange of information amongst our members
  • To advise the government of both countries on bilateral trade relations issues
  • To advise our members on opportunities and problems, legislative or otherwise, that may arise from trading activities
  • To set-up an information network that will promote bilateral trading activities between Nigeria and South Africa by facilitating decision making for members and those willing to trade in Nigeria and South Africa
  • Organizing functions on subjects of current relevance to the commercial community
  • Conducting regular meetings of specialist group with the aim of encouraging members to meet and discuss problems of mutual interest
  • To maintain close liaison with officials in government departments and representative bodies concerned with furthering Nigerian-South African trade and industrial relationships
  • To publicize by all means the views of the chambers on matters of common interest
