Foluso Olajide Phillips – CHAIRMAN

Foluso Phillips is a Chartered Management Accountant of the U.K. and a Chartered Accountant of Nigeria with a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Wales’ Institute of Science & Technology, Cardiff, Wales.
Mr. Phillips has been engaged in the United Kingdom, Nigeria and other parts of West, East and Southern Africa as a financial manager, financial adviser, general manager and organisation development consultant, working in manufacturing and service organisations. He spent 6 years with Coopers & Lybrand International (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in the United Kingdom, working on a variety of assignments internationally.
He has also worked with the SCOA Group as the Group General Manager – Finance from 1990-1992. In 1992 he set up Phillips Consulting Limited, a management consulting firm of which he is currently the Chairman/CEO. The firm has offices in Nigeria, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Mr Phillips is a director of several companies, charities and NGOs in Nigeria. He is Chairman, Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce, the Nigeria Economic Summit Group. He holds directorships at Special Olympics of Nigeria (SON), African Business Roundtable, and is also a member of the Advisory Board of Africa Investor magazine, an adviser to the African Leadership Academy, and a member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.

Mr Osayaba Giwa-Osagie LL.B (Hons) Warwick, B.L, Notary Public – DIRECTOR

Mr. Giwa – Osagie is the Senior and founding Partner of Giwa-Osagie & Co. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Warwick, England, where he graduated in 1985 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. He has vast experience in civil litigation and commercial transactions particularly mergers & acquisitions, construction laws and telecommunications. He is a member of the International Bar Association, Nigerian Maritime Law Association and also the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs. He is currently the Legal Adviser to the chambers.

Ebun Sonaiya serves as Chief Medical Director and Director of Total Health Trust Limited -DIRECTOR

Dr. Sonaiya served as President – Rotary Club of Ikoyi etc., Charter President – Rotary Club of Festac Town Central and Chairman of African Health Forum/Summit. He also served as Member – Board of Neuro-psychiatric Hospital Kaduna Nigeria till 2004, Member – Director Development Committee – Institute of Directors (IOD) Nigeria, Member – Board of Directors EIB International Bank Plc 2003 -2006, Member – Ministerial Committee on Tertiary Health Institution 2004, Member – Ministerial Committee on National Health Insurance 2003, Member – Ministerial Committee on National Health Financing Policy and Member: Board of Greenspring School – Anthony Village. Dr. Sonaiya”s Professional Affilations includes Institute of Directors, Nigeria (Fellow), Guild of Medical Directors, Nigeria – (Founding President), International Hospital Federation, World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA) , Association of Chief Medical Officers (USA) and Health and Managed Care Association of Nigeria (Chairman). Dr. Sonaiya holds M.D in 1976 from Sofia university. He is a director at the Chambers.

Mr. Samuel Oniovosa, Sam, is a Partner at African Capital Alliance – TREASURER

He joined the firm in May 2003 as a Vice President and Investment Officer before becoming the firm’s Chief Financial Officer in July 2004. Mr. Oniovosa is also currently employed at Capital Alliance Nigeria Limited. He held increasingly senior positions in accounting, treasury, corporate finance, commercial banking, and financial management at Guinness Nigeria PLC, First City Merchant Bank, Credite Bank, and United Bank for Africa. At United Bank for Africa, Mr. Oniovosa was a Group Head in corporate banking and later became Group Head for the Lagos area commercial banking business. He rose to become Deputy General Manager and Senior Credit Officer with responsibility for risk management. Mr. Oniovosa began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he spent four years working on various financial consulting and audit engagements. Mr. Oniovosa has over 25 years of varied experience in corporate banking, risk management, corporate treasury management, accounting, and auditing. He is a qualified Nigerian Chartered Accountant winning the second best overall prize in the final qualifying examinations. Mr. Oniovosa holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Lagos, and a first degree in economics from University of Ife. He is currently the Treasurer to the Chambers.


Mr.  Yinka Sanni is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC

Mr. Yinka Sanni served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director at Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC.

Mr. Sanni has also served as Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of IBTC Pension Managers Limited (IBTC Pensions).

He has extensive experience in credit and marketing, corporate finance, asset management and stockbroking and has been involved in a number of landmark capital market transactions.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sanni served as the Managing Director of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited, which he nurtured from inception in 1996 to become a Leading Independent Asset Manager/Stock broking house in Nigeria. He was responsible for the overseeing the operations of both Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Ltd (SIPML) and Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd (SIAML).

Mr. Sanni has also recently led to the growth of SIPML from its start up in 2005 to being the largest PFA in Nigeria. He served as Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of IBTC Chartered Bank Plc. He serves as Director at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd. Mr. Sanni is a Chartered Stockbroker.

Sanni holds an MBA from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, having also undertaken the Harvard Business School, Boston’s Advanced Management Programme.

He is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; with Bachelors in Agricultural Economics.

Sanni is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria.
