Ohis Ehimiaghe is the Manager for Market Africa, Middle East & Indian Ocean Islands at South African Airways. In that capacity, he develops and executes market strategies to drive revenue growth and leads cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
He is a transformational leader and aviation expert with over 20 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and excellence in the aviation industry. With a proven track record of success in leadership, sales, marketing, and operations, Ohis is passionate about leveraging his expertise to drive business transformation and foster high-performing teams.
His positive attitude and exceptional communication skills enable him to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. He is known for his inspirational leadership style, motivating teams to achieve their objectives while fostering an atmosphere of integrity and trust.
Before being appointed to his current role, he was Regional Manager for North, West, and Central Africa at South African Airways, where he oversaw regional sales and marketing and developed and executed regional business plans to achieve revenue targets.
Ohis has developed a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership acumen, and industry expertise as a seasoned executive. His areas of expertise include airline sales, marketing, revenue management, leadership development and team management, strategic planning and execution, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building. This expertise is complemented by his analytical abilities, which allow him to interpret business trends and make data-driven decisions that enhance organizational performance.
In his current role, he provides strategic leadership and direction for regional operations and drives business growth and expansion through strategic partnerships.
Before joining South African Airways, Ohis was Kenya Airways’ country manager for Nigeria, and prior to that, Ohis worked at Landover Company Ltd. as a Business Manager – Travel Center, where he was responsible for the profitability of the travel division, managing costs within budget limits. He also served at Landover Aviation Business School as a Lead Facilitator/Instructor, where he prepared students for the IATA/UFTAA examinations.
Ohis holds an MBA in Management from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the same institution. He completed the Senior Management Program (SMP 18) at Lagos Business School and the Train the Trainer Course at Lagos Business School.
