NIGERIA-SOUTH AFRICA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE STRENGTHENS TIES WITH SOUTH AFRICAN EMBASSY IN LAGOS

The Nigeria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC) has taken a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Africa. A delegation of seven board/ExCo members of the Chamber, led by Chairman Dr. Ije Jidenma, paid a courtesy visit to the South African Embassy in Lagos.

The visit which took place recently, was aimed at fostering closer ties between the Chamber and the Embassy, with a focus on exploring potential areas of collaboration. During the meeting, the delegation held productive discussions with Consul General Professor Bobby Moroe and his team.

Dr. Jidenma emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to promoting trade and investment between Nigeria and South Africa. She highlighted the significant business potential that exists between the two countries and expressed the Chamber’s desire to play a key role in facilitating trade and investment flows.

“We are committed to promoting trade and investment between Nigeria and South Africa. Our visit to the South African Embassy is a significant step towards achieving this goal, and we look forward to working closely with the Embassy to explore new areas of cooperation.”

Professor Moroe, in his response, expressed appreciation for the Chamber’s proactive engagement and the Embassy’s willingness to collaborate.

He noted that the partnership between the Chamber and the Embassy has the potential to drive significant value for both countries, particularly in exchanging economic cooperation, diplomatic relations, and mutual understanding.

The discussions between the delegation and the Embassy’s team covered a range of areas, including trade opportunities, investment potentials, and diplomacy. Both parties agreed on the need to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new areas of cooperation.
